How we handle your data.

Who we are

This website and the GestureWright app are provided by Promintal Consulting Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Contact: info@promintal.co.uk.

The GestureWright app

The app uses your camera to see your hand. Camera frames are processed in your computer's memory and discarded straight away. They are never saved, never sent to us and never sent to anyone else. The app does not need an account and works without an internet connection. It keeps its settings and log files on your computer only.

Try it live

The Try it live page uses your camera only after you press “Turn on camera”, and only inside your browser tab. The video is never uploaded or recorded. To run the hand tracking, your browser downloads Google's MediaPipe code and model files from public code libraries (jsDelivr and Google). Those services see that a download happened, as with any web page, but never your video. We record only that the camera was turned on, as a usage count.

What this website collects

• Which pages are viewed, and the name of the website that sent you here, if any.
• Your approximate country and city, worked out by our hosting provider from your connection. We do not store your IP address.
• Your device type (desktop, mobile or tablet).
• A random visitor ID kept in your browser, so we can count returning visitors without knowing who you are.
• Clicks on download buttons, use of Try it live, and the fact that a contact message was sent (not what it said).

We use this only to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or combine it with other data. Search engines and other automated visitors are not counted.

Your choice

If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, none of this is collected. You can also clear the visitor ID at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

If you send us a message

The contact form sends your name, email address and message to us by email so we can reply. It is not stored on this website. We keep emails for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you ask for product updates, we keep your email address for that until you tell us to stop.

Who processes it

• Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the usage data described above.
• Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• GitHub hosts the app's download files and source code.

How long we keep it

Usage records are deleted automatically after about 13 months.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email info@promintal.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
